Pioneering the Way to More Sustainable Giving
New York, January 8th, 2020 – DialogueDirect is proud to announce they have joined the global community of Certified B Corporations® (“B Corps”) with one unifying goal – redefining success in business. B CorpsTM are certified by the nonprofit B Lab® to meet exacting standards of accountability, environmental and social performance, and transparency. They aspire to lead purposefully, using the power of business to improve the quality of life in our communities.
DialogueDirect creates real and lasting change, one dialogue at a time. They empower and engage individuals through face-to-face conversations on behalf of their charity partners – advocating causes ranging from defending human rights and eradicating child poverty to ensuring animal welfare and promoting environmental sustainability. Their commitment to leadership in the fundraising industry led them to achieve B Corp Certification in late 2019.
B Corp Certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or what USDA Organic certification is to orange juice. The company must meet a minimum performance benchmark aggregated across all categories to become certified. Today, there exists a growing community of over 3,200 Certified B CorpsTM from 71 countries and 150 industries, among them: Athleta, Ben & Jerry’s, Etsy, Patagonia, TOMS, and many more.
DialogueDirect’s mission to “change the way America gives”, combined with the B Impact Assessment framework, will maximize their potential to redefine success in business. “We’ve taken on the challenge to continue leading the industry and moving it forward,” says their CEO, Mike Wakeland. “Our B Corp Certification will further strengthen our commitment to our charity partners, our communities, and our teams. It’s the start of exciting new ventures this year.”
DialogueDirect currently partners with the following organizations: ChildFund International, Humane Society of the United States, National Resources Defense Council, PLAN International, Save the Children, and World Wildlife Fund.
